| Bio | Hailing from Upper Kintore in Victoria County, Laurel currently lives in Woodstock and recently obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts (May, 2011) from the University of Maine in Presque Isle, with concentrations in photography, painting and art education. Artistically inclined from an early age, she also takes great pleasure in experimenting with mixed media projects involving printmaking, collage and found object assemblage.
A strong believer that the arts are an integral part of any person or place, Laurel joined a group of like-minded people in creating the River Valley Arts Alliance. She is currently the vice president of RiVA and co-organizes the Dooryard Arts Festival.
Laurel will be offering community art workshops starting in the September 2011 at the Centre of Culture and Creativity, located on Houlton Rd. in Woodstock. For more information please visit: |
