“Tracy is a singer, composer, and educator who began performing as a child and studied singing, piano, and guitar as a teenager. Tracy received her Bachelor of Music degree in classical music from Mount Allison University. She has worked as an actor, singer and pianist in professional Dinner Theatre in Yarmouth, N.S. and in Sackville, N.B., before moving on to study Jazz in Toronto at Humber College. While in Toronto she worked as a freelance musician and taught at various music studios within the Greater Toronto Area. In the past year, Tracy has peformed throughout the St. John River Valley as the leader of her own jazz quartet while actively composing her own music and arrangements. Tracy has also taught classroom music for School District 14 as well as concert band, jazz band and choir. She was pit band musician in the Valley Young Company’s production of “Tommy” as well. Currently, Tracy is teaching music to grades one to nine at the International School of Sino-Canada in Shenzhen, China. She believes strongly in the value of music to teach creativity, team work and discipline and sees the arts as a vital part of our human experience.” (excerpted from website)
